Management Profile

Rahul C. Prakash
Rahul C. Prakash is the Chairman of VectorShades LLC.

He is also the President and CEO of Everest Telecom, L.L.C., U.S.-based private investment firm. Everest is a private equity firm that invests and manages investments in telecom and related businesses.

Prior to forming Everest, Mr. Prakash was the president of Telcom Ventures, a large private equity firm based in Virginia that specialized in making private equity and debt investments in new and emerging telecommunications and information technologies in the U.S., Latin America, Europe, and Asia.

Under Mr. Prakash’s management, Telcom Ventures’ investors achieved realized returns of approximately $600 million (without giving effect to unrealized portfolio investments) from its initial capital of approximately $60 million.

In addition to managing Telcom Ventures, Mr. Prakash also focused on identifying investment opportunities for the partnership, negotiating the terms of its investment ventures and partnering arrangements, providing strategic and operational direction and oversight for the portfolio companies, and negotiating exit transactions for Telcom, including initial public offerings and other public and private market transactions.

Mr. Prakash has served as CEO of several of Telcom Ventures’ portfolio companies, and also has served on the boards of several US public companies like “Teligent” and “Aether” Systems.

Mr. Prakash was Vice President and Special Advisor to the Chairman of LCC International, Inc., a worldwide wireless telecommunications consulting firm,. During his service with LCC, Mr. Prakash also served as the head of business development for Telemate, a joint venture of France Telecom and LCC International in Paris.

Mr. Prakash received Masters Degrees with honors in Finance from Delhi University in 1985, and was subsequently awarded the hall of nations scholarship to study International Business at The American University in Washington DC, where he graduated on the deans list with his second MBA. Mr. Prakash is on the Board of the Indian High Tech Council of the US, an honored professional listed in Who’s Who in the US, and a recognized speaker at telecom, Internet and technology related forums.

Shameem C Hameed
Shameem C. Hameed is the President & CEO of VectorShades LLC.

Mr. Hameed (Sam C. Hameed) is an exceptional entrepreneur and has a unique talent to identify high growth areas for investment. He successfully promoted ventures in the Indian Financial Market and the Indian Software Industry in the early 1990s, both of which witnessed unprecedented growth since 1990. His involvement in the North American market began in 2003 and has become the focal point of his activities since then.

He started his career as a lawyer enrolling in the Bar Council of Delhi and practicing in the High Court of Kerala.

He was an active member of the Cochin Stock Exchange, Ltd.. In 1995, he became one of the promoters and the founding Managing Director of Peninsular Capital Markets Ltd. Peninsular Capital Markets is one of the largest stock brokerage companies in India; it operates from over 300 locations with offices spread out all over India. Peninsular Capital Markets Ltd. is a member of National Stock Exchange of India, Ltd., member of the Bombay Stock Exchange, member of the National Stock Depository Ltd, member of OTCEI.

Mr. Hameed also promoted Datamate Software and Exports Pvt., Ltd. in 1991, when the Indian Software Industry was on the threshold of the legendary boom, Datamate soon became a virtual monopoly in the markets it focused on. The company developed and sold ERP products designed for the Financial, Hospitality and Healthcare Industries.

In 1996, Mr. Hameed promoted Software Fusions, Ltd., software Services Company. The Company's technical capabilities were on Sybase®, Oracle® , and PowerBuilder® . Software Fusions presently caters exclusively to the North American market.

In 2004, Mr. Hameed promoted SoftScribe, LLC in Virginia, USA, to service the legal transcription industry in North America. Scribe Soft Scribe is one of the largest Legal, Business and Media transcription companies in the US.

Mr. Hameed holds LLB Degree and Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the Mahatma Gandhi University. He also holds a Diploma in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management from Bhavans Vidya Mandir.
